The NACE pipe standard means the pipes are resistant to several cracking types such as the hydrogen induced cracking, sulfide stress cracking, galvanically induced hydrogen stress cracking, stepwise cracking, soft zone cracking, stress oriented hydrogen induced cracking and stress corrosion cracking. The NACE MR0175 Seamless Pipe is made up of a carbon steel material that comprises of carbon, manganese, silicon, sulfur, phosphorus, copper, oxygen, nickel, chromium and molybdenum in the composition. This combination makes the pipes to be stronger, corrosion resistant, impact resistant and heat resistant.

The pipes are used in the drilling and well operations service equipment such as drill bits, tools with drilling fluid contact, electrical submersible pumps and so on.
